Brian, I am inspired by this message. “Jesus knows what time it is.” The balance and the rhythm were definitely missing from my early days as a believer. Now, so many years later, I crave this kind of spiritual life.

I enjoyed reading this. It put into words a lot of disorganized thoughts that I’ve had floating around my head since I quit showing up on Sundays, way back when.

Fundamentalism is the easy way out when you’re faced with a scary ever changing world that is unpredictable and has shifting values.

It’s a leap of faith to let go of that rigid belief system full of extraneous bs, but the world becomes a lot more interesting once you do.

Brian, this is a beautiful message – lyric and replete with hopeful imagery. My favorite: “The Kingdom of God is where our best dreams come from and our truest prayers.”

My hope is that one day you and the team will publish your entire series on the Psalms. This part of the Bible is akin to God’s landscape of humanity, planted with constant reminders of his faithfulness. We don’t spend enough time with them.

This was spot on! It made me weep! I was a PK. My dad, Don Duncan who I love, raised me in a church that was not safe. I am 70 years old now and still looking for that safe church. Bless you for wanting and striving for your church to be that safe church. Your mom and dad, I dearly love/d.

Your words are masterable, no could have expressed them more clearly, my daughter and I were having that exact conversation today and she has been so disappointed and I frankly have been disappointed and hurt but God, I had to start focusing on God’s word and look at my self in the mirror and start treating others as I’d wanted to be treated. It seems so far from what I am witnessing today because I know who are apart of the body are the same
